This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior eDiscovery Project Manager (Case Manager) based in the United States.
As a Senior eDiscovery Project Manager, you will oversee complex electronic discovery and litigation support projects for a major federal agency. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, coordinating technical workflows, managing project timelines, and ensuring the accurate and secure handling of electronic evidence. Working closely with legal professionals, technical specialists, and internal stakeholders, you will manage projects across the entire Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) lifecycle. You will leverage your expertise in Relativity to develop workflows, organize document reviews, and coordinate data processing and production activities. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, client relationship management, and strong project leadership. You will contribute to mission-critical government initiatives within a collaborative, technology-driven environment that encourages professional development and operational excellence.
Accountabilities:
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end eDiscovery and litigation support projects, ensuring client requirements are met accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to requests, providing technical consultation, and identifying appropriate solutions for their eDiscovery needs.
- Configure and manage Relativity environments, including creating fields, choices, layouts, views, and document review batches.
- Create and manage production sweeps and production sets within Relativity, ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the process.
- Develop, modify, and implement project workflows, operational procedures, technical resources, and supporting tools to facilitate efficient project execution.
- Initiate and coordinate work orders for data processing, document review, and production activities, ensuring instructions are complete and aligned with client requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews to verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of project instructions, deliverables, and final work products.
- Establish realistic project schedules by assessing task dependencies, workflows, resource requirements, project complexity, and expected completion times across departments.
- Communicate project scope, milestones, expectations, risks, and deadlines clearly to internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate project kickoff activities, prepare meeting materials, document workflows and standards, and oversee project closure activities, including final billing and secure data destruction.
- Collaborate with technical teams and other stakeholders to identify potential challenges, resolve issues, and maintain project delivery standards.
- Stay informed about developments in the eDiscovery industry, emerging technologies, market competitors, and tools supporting litigation and legal operations.
- Ensure project activities align with applicable government policies, security requirements, and established operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in eDiscovery or litigation support, preferably with a strong focus on client solutions and project management.
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience managing or supporting major litigation support projects.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Relativity experience beyond document review coding, including platform configuration and workflow management.
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent professional experience. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree is highly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of eDiscovery services and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), covering the full lifecycle from initial data identification through trial.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and overseeing technical workflows and deliverables.
- Strong client-facing experience, with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to both eDiscovery specialists and non-technical business leaders.
- Knowledge of government software policies, procedures, and operational requirements.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to establish priorities, manage competing deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile working environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical, legal, and operational departments.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; an active federal agency-issued security clearance is strongly preferred.
- Professional judgment, discretion, and a strong understanding of confidentiality and information security requirements.
Benefits:
- Competitive annual salary: $100,000–$130,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life insurance coverage.
- 401(k) retirement savings plan.
- Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), including:
- Healthcare expenses.
- Dependent care expenses.
- Commuter expenses.
- Paid time off (PTO).
- Observance of applicable state and federal holidays.
- Opportunities for professional growth, continuous learning, and career development.
- Collaborative working environment focused on innovation, professional excellence, and meaningful government projects.
- Opportunity to contribute to technology-driven solutions supporting important federal agency operations.
