Original job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Android Engineer – Fan Monetization based in the United States.

The Senior Android Engineer will help shape the future of mobile experiences that strengthen the connection between music fans and the artists they love. As part of an international Fan Monetization team, this role will build and scale high-impact Android features used by millions of people worldwide. The position focuses on modern Android development with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, creating clean, intuitive, and responsive user interfaces. Working closely with Product, Design, and Data teams across global offices, the engineer will help define, test, and refine new product experiences. The team embraces AI-assisted development to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery. This is an opportunity for an experienced mobile engineer to contribute to a globally distributed product environment while helping creators build stronger relationships with their audiences.

Accountabilities

• Develop, build, and scale fan-facing Android features, with a strong focus on Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

• Create clean, responsive, intuitive, and high-quality user interfaces that enhance fan engagement and support creator monetization.

• Use advanced AI development tools responsibly and securely to accelerate coding workflows, code reviews, testing, and problem-solving.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data teams across international locations to define, develop, and continuously improve mobile features.

• Participate in feature scoping, product experimentation, A/B testing, analytics integration, and agile delivery.

• Analyze user engagement and product performance to inform iterations and improve the overall mobile experience.

• Contribute to code reviews and engineering best practices, maintaining high standards for performance, accessibility, maintainability, and consistency across the Android platform.

• Break down complex technical challenges into elegant, reliable, and maintainable solutions.

• Share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues across other technology areas when useful, including iOS, Web, and Backend engineering.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of professional experience developing Android applications.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid familiarity with Jetpack Compose.

• Experience building modern Android applications and developing responsive, user-friendly interfaces.

• Comfortable working primarily with modern Kotlin and Jetpack Compose components, without requiring responsibility for maintaining or refactoring legacy Java code or outdated architectures.

• Interest and experience in using AI development assistants to improve productivity, code quality, and continuous learning.

• Ability to work effectively in agile, internationally distributed teams, with proactive communication and strong collaboration skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and a focus on writing clean, elegant, maintainable code.

• Commitment to engineering quality, including performance, accessibility, testing, and platform consistency.

• Passion for music, mobile products, and creating meaningful experiences that help artists connect with their audiences.

•

Preferred qualifications:

• Curiosity or experience collaborating across additional technology stacks, such as iOS, Web, or Backend development using Go.

• Experience working with product experimentation, A/B testing, and analytics-driven feature development.

Benefits:

• Annual salary range of $160,000–$190,000, depending on experience, skills, location, and internal equity.

• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.

• Mental health resources.

• Robust 401(k) retirement program.

• Employee equity plan.

• Generous professional development allowance.

• Creativity and Wellness benefit to support activities such as gym memberships, photography courses, or books.

• Flexible vacation and public holiday policy, with up to 35 days of paid time off annually.

• 16 weeks of paid parental leave for all parents, including birthing and non-birthing parents, welcoming newborn, adopted, or foster children.

• Flexible work culture combining remote work with opportunities to collaborate in person at offices.

• Office perks, including snacks, treats, and two complimentary lunches per week when working onsite.

• Mentorship, workshops, and professional enrichment opportunities.

• Inclusive and collaborative environment that values diversity, equity, and open expression.

• Work arrangement: The role is listed as based in New York, with a hybrid office option. Applicants must be currently authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
