We are seeking an experienced MEAN Stack Architect with strong DevOps expertise to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance software applications. In this role, you will drive architectural decisions and establish technical best practices across the application development lifecycle. You will leverage your expertise in MongoDB, Express.js, AngularJS, and Node.js to build robust, modern solutions while integrating efficient DevOps practices. Working closely with cross-functional development teams, you will guide technical implementation, optimize application performance, and ensure architectural quality. You will also play a key role in implementing CI/CD pipelines and leveraging cloud technologies to streamline software delivery. This fully remote opportunity offers the chance to combine technical leadership, architectural innovation, and hands-on engineering in a collaborative technology environment.
Accountabilities:
- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using the MEAN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, AngularJS, and Node.js).
- Define and implement technical architecture and development standards, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to define, design, develop, and deliver new application features.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development teams, promoting engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure architectural integrity, code quality, scalability, and maintainability throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct code reviews and establish coding standards, development guidelines, and quality assurance practices.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve application performance, scalability, and infrastructure-related issues.
- Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to support application deployment, infrastructure management, and scalability.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve architectural solutions and development practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, application architecture, or a related technical role.
- Proven expertise in MEAN Stack technologies, including MongoDB, Express.js, AngularJS, and Node.js.
- Extensive hands-on experience implementing, managing, and optimizing DevOps processes, tools, and practices.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies, pipeline automation, and modern software delivery practices.
- Practical experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, application scalability, performance optimization, and system design.
- Experience with microservices architecture is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies and collaborative software engineering practices.
- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience guiding technical teams and influencing architectural decisions.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams in a fully remote environment.
Benefits:
- Compensation: $45–$50 per hour.
- Work arrangement: 100% remote position within the United States.
- Career development: Opportunities to lead architectural initiatives and strengthen technical leadership capabilities.
- Technical exposure: Work with modern MEAN Stack technologies, DevOps tools, cloud platforms, and emerging software engineering practices.
- Professional growth: Opportunities to mentor development teams and influence enterprise-level technical solutions.
