As an MDC/Platform Architect, you will play a key role in designing and delivering sophisticated infrastructure solutions across data centers, virtualization, cloud platforms, and enterprise networking environments. You will work closely with clients and internal technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures. Combining deep technical expertise with strategic consulting, you will guide customers through infrastructure assessments, solution design, and technology recommendations. You will also support business development initiatives by contributing to proposals, technical demonstrations, and complex solution presentations. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading technology platforms, influence major infrastructure projects, and drive innovation through automation and operational excellence. You will join a collaborative, ambitious, and high-performing environment that values ownership, continuous improvement, and exceptional client experiences.
Accountabilities:
- Infrastructure Architecture and Solution Design: Develop scalable and comprehensive infrastructure architectures covering data center environments, virtualization, cloud technologies, and advanced networking solutions.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including architectural diagrams, client proposals, bills of materials, and statements of work.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with industry standards, security requirements, compliance obligations, and established IT best practices.
- Client Engagement and Technical Advisory: Lead client discovery sessions to understand existing infrastructure environments, business objectives, technical requirements, and potential challenges.
- Present tailored infrastructure recommendations and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, serving as a strategic technical advisor throughout the solution design and implementation process.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and other cross-functional teams to ensure proposed solutions meet client expectations and organizational IT standards.
- Sales Enablement and Business Development: Provide technical expertise to support sales teams in developing proposals, bills of materials, and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Contribute to proof-of-concept (POC) and proof-of-value (POV) initiatives, including solution demonstrations and technical presentations.
- Support internal sales enablement activities by translating complex technical capabilities into clear business value propositions.
- Technology Optimization and Operational Excellence: Provide cross-technology guidance to ensure infrastructure solutions are integrated, efficient, scalable, and reliable.
- Monitor emerging technologies and industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation, automation, and infrastructure optimization.
- Promote automation practices and leverage tools such as Ansible to improve infrastructure management and operational efficiency.
- Identify technical challenges, potential security vulnerabilities, and operational risks, escalating concerns to the appropriate executive leadership representatives and contributing to remediation efforts.
- Complete required security awareness training and comply with applicable internal security policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support business objectives and client success.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering, data center operations, network architecture, or a closely related technical field.
- Strong expertise in enterprise networking and data center technologies across leading manufacturers and platforms, including Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Dell, HPE, VMware, and Pure Storage.
- Demonstrated experience designing and delivering complex infrastructure solutions involving data centers, virtualization, cloud environments, and enterprise networking.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, network design, system integration, and enterprise IT environments.
- Practical experience with automation tools such as Ansible and familiarity with infrastructure management technologies, including virtual machines, out-of-band (OOB) management, and VPN solutions.
- Proven ability to engage with clients and stakeholders, conduct technical discovery, assess infrastructure requirements, and present customized solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear recommendations for audiences with different levels of technical expertise.
- Experience developing technical proposals, architectural documentation, statements of work, bills of materials, and RFP responses.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to evaluate technical trade-offs and recommend scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects effectively.
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills, ensuring architectural decisions and recommendations are clearly communicated.
- Ability to work collaboratively across technical, sales, and business teams while maintaining ownership of assigned responsibilities.
- Commitment to ongoing security awareness training, information security best practices, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Based in the United States and available for occasional travel to support client engagements as required.
- Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to continuous learning, accountability, and delivering high-quality results.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation: New York City base salary range of $200,000–$250,000, with compensation in other locations varying according to geography and market conditions.
- Additional earning opportunities: Incentive compensation plans available to all employees, with potential profit-sharing bonuses and/or commission.
- Unlimited paid time off: Flexible PTO policy to support work-life balance and personal well-being.
- Healthcare coverage: Employer-paid health insurance at no cost to employees.
- Retirement savings: Company-funded 401(k) contributions.

- Technology allowance: Annual Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) reimbursement of up to $500.
- Professional development: Regular one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, constructive feedback, and opportunities for continuous growth.
- Collaborative culture: Work alongside diverse, talented, and high-performing professionals in an inclusive and supportive environment.
