Original job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, eCommerce Content & Optimization based in the United States.

The Manager, eCommerce Content & Optimization will lead digital commerce content strategy and shopping experiences across direct-to-consumer websites and key retail platforms. This hands-on role focuses on helping consumers discover, understand, and purchase products through compelling, accurate, and engaging digital content. You will oversee product pages, website optimization, digital merchandising, SEO, ratings and reviews, and conversion improvement initiatives. Working closely with Sales, eCommerce, Brand, and Marketing teams, you will translate shopper insights into effective content experiences. You will also manage agency partnerships and establish processes that ensure consistent quality and efficient delivery. This is an opportunity to shape digital commerce experiences and drive measurable business performance in the consumer health and wellness space. Accountabilities

In this role, you will own the digital commerce content roadmap and continuously improve the quality, performance, and effectiveness of online shopping experiences. Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the digital commerce content and optimization roadmap across direct-to-consumer websites and priority retailer eCommerce pages.

• Optimize product detail pages, category pages, landing pages, educational content, imagery, videos, and product information.

• Define content and merchandising requirements for website refreshes, product launches, and direct-to-consumer enhancements.

• Identify and prioritize conversion-rate optimization opportunities using performance data and shopper insights.

• Partner with Sales and eCommerce teams to strengthen digital shelf content and ensure launch readiness across priority retail channels.

• Lead SEO, answer-engine optimization, and responsible AI-driven content optimization initiatives.

• Manage ratings and reviews platforms, including migrations, product mapping, and approved review-generation programs.

• Collaborate with Brand and Social/Influencer Marketing teams to translate shopper needs into content requirements and adapt approved brand and creator assets for eCommerce channels.

• Establish content standards, approval workflows, and quality-assurance processes.

• Manage agency deliverables, timelines, budgets, scopes of work, and performance reviews.

• Track and report on qualified traffic, engagement, conversion rates, revenue per session, content effectiveness, and delivery efficiency.

This position focuses specifically on digital commerce content, website experiences, and conversion optimization. Social media strategy, influencer and creator programs, organic social content, community management, retailer media strategy, media budgets, media buying, and campaign optimization remain outside its direct scope.

Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong digital content expertise with hands-on eCommerce experience, analytical thinking, and the ability to coordinate complex projects. You should bring:

• At least 6 years of experience in digital content, eCommerce, direct-to-consumer operations, digital merchandising, SEO, or a related discipline.

• Hands-on experience with Shopify or a comparable eCommerce platform.

• Demonstrated experience optimizing product detail pages, landing pages, and digital shopping experiences.

• Working knowledge of SEO, web analytics, conversion-rate optimization, and content performance measurement.

• Experience managing agencies and delivering complex cross-functional projects.

• Strong written communication, editorial judgment, and attention to detail.

• Experience with Syndigo or another digital shelf platform is preferred.

• Familiarity with Bazaarvoice, Yotpo, or a comparable ratings and reviews platform is an advantage.

• Experience in consumer health, wellness, or another regulated consumer category is a plus.
