This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Data Analyst based in the United States (Remote).
As a Lead Data Analyst, you will serve as the senior individual contributor tackling the most complex and ambiguous analytical challenges across the organization’s supply-side operations. You will combine advanced technical expertise with strong business judgment to turn large-scale data into strategic insights that shape product roadmaps and operational decisions. Working closely with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Finance, and Commercial teams, you will connect technical developments to measurable business outcomes. You will also establish analytical best practices, lead high-impact initiatives from conception through implementation, and mentor other analysts. This is a highly collaborative, remote-first opportunity for an experienced analytics professional who enjoys solving challenging problems and influencing decisions at every level of the business.
Accountabilities

• Develop, write, and optimize sophisticated SQL queries across large-scale datasets containing billions of rows, while building reproducible analytical workflows.
• Conduct root-cause investigations and troubleshoot issues involving product performance, technical systems, and business KPIs.
• Build and automate dashboards, ad hoc analytical tools, and internal reporting pipelines using SQL and business intelligence platforms such as Looker and Tableau.
• Translate technical developments - including machine learning model changes, SDK upgrades, and auction mechanics - into clear business impact assessments for Commercial teams and senior leadership.
• Lead transformational projects end-to-end, from initial ideation and scoping to technical execution and operational rollout.
• Mentor analysts on technical excellence, business context, structured problem-solving, and effective communication.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Finance teams to advance cross-functional initiatives and drive measurable results.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or business analytics, ideally within high-tech or advertising technology environments.
• Advanced SQL expertise, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries against massive datasets.
• Experience working with cloud data warehouse technologies such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Trino.
• Strong understanding of statistical inference, A/B testing methodology, and causal reasoning, including confidence intervals, statistical power, and common sources of experimental noise.
• Proficiency with Looker, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence and data visualization tools.
• Proven ability to structure ambiguous business challenges into rigorous analyses and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect technical insights to revenue, margins, and partner outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt complex technical concepts for audiences ranging from engineering teams to C-level executives.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management capabilities, with the confidence to develop compelling narratives, defend recommendations, and respond effectively to challenging questions.
• Demonstrated leadership through mentoring, cross-functional project management, and the ability to drive organizational change using data-driven insights.
