Original job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Enterprise Solution Architect based in the United States (Remote).

The Enterprise Solution Architect will provide strategic technical leadership in designing and modernizing a large-scale healthcare supply chain and logistics ecosystem. This role focuses on establishing enterprise architecture standards, strengthening system interoperability, and developing secure, scalable integration platforms. You will oversee the modernization of legacy applications, enterprise data capabilities, inventory and procurement systems, and financial integrations while ensuring uninterrupted mission-critical operations. A major component of the position involves architecting next-generation AI-powered solutions, intelligent automation, and autonomous workflows to improve operational efficiency and decision-making. Working closely with engineering, product, cybersecurity, data, and business teams, you will translate strategic objectives into practical technical roadmaps. This is a senior leadership opportunity to drive enterprise-wide digital transformation within a complex, highly regulated healthcare environment.

Accountabilities

As Enterprise Solution Architect, you will define and govern the target-state architecture while leading modernization, integration, data management, cybersecurity, and intelligent automation initiatives across the enterprise.

•

Establish, maintain, and govern the target-state enterprise architecture for healthcare supply chain and logistics operations.

•

Develop current-state, future-state, and transition architecture models covering business, applications, data, integration, security, infrastructure, cloud, and operational support.

•

Define enterprise architecture principles, technical standards, governance frameworks, reference architectures, reusable design patterns, and Architecture Decision Records.

•

Lead architecture review boards, solution design reviews, technical intake processes, governance forums, and executive-level architecture presentations.

•

Ensure architecture decisions align with organizational strategy, technology roadmaps, cybersecurity requirements, business priorities, and operational objectives.

•

Maintain the enterprise architectural roadmap, ensuring short-term technology investments support long-term modernization goals.

•

Translate strategic priorities into technical roadmaps, architectural enablers, epics, features, user stories, non-functional requirements, and measurable implementation outcomes.

•

Apply established architecture frameworks and methodologies, including DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF, or equivalent approaches.

•

Design and govern a centralized integration platform supporting secure, scalable, and near-real-time information exchange through APIs, event-driven architecture, messaging, batch processing, and legacy integrations.

•

Establish reusable integration patterns, API standards, data contracts, interface specifications, observability requirements, security controls, and service-level objectives.

•

Enable interoperability across supply chain, inventory, procurement, logistics, financial, clinical, asset-management, and external partner systems while reducing fragmented point-to-point integrations.

•

Lead phased modernization of legacy applications, interfaces, data pipelines, and infrastructure while preserving operational continuity.

•

Define modernization strategies, including API enablement, refactoring, re-platforming, cloud migration, service decomposition, system consolidation, replacement, and retirement.

•

Architect and govern AI-enabled capabilities, including agentic workflows, predictive analytics, intelligent automation, and human-in-the-loop decision support.

•

Establish appropriate AI governance, security, traceability, permissions, monitoring, and human oversight mechanisms.

•

Define enterprise data and master-data architectures that support trusted, authoritative, interoperable, and reusable information.

•

Establish data governance standards covering ownership, quality, metadata, lineage, lifecycle management, access controls, authoritative sources, and master data.

•

Enable secure and consistent information sharing across enterprise systems and external data sources.

•

Define secure hybrid and cloud-native architecture patterns that support scalability, resiliency, disaster recovery, observability, and cost optimization.

•

Establish and govern DevSecOps practices covering CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, security scanning, infrastructure automation, configuration management, monitoring, and continuous compliance.

•

Incorporate Zero Trust principles, identity and access management, encryption, secrets and certificate management, API security, and vulnerability management into enterprise architecture.

•

Collaborate with product, engineering, security, data, operations, and business teams to translate architectural requirements into prioritized development initiatives and release plans.

•

Manage cross-product dependencies while balancing feature delivery, technical debt reduction, modernization, cybersecurity, and operational sustainability.

•

Define and monitor architecture performance indicators covering interoperability, data quality, reliability, delivery efficiency, technical debt, and modernization progress.

Requirements:
