Original job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Digital Sales Representative - Expansion based in the United States.

As a Digital Sales Representative - Expansion, you will drive revenue growth by managing and developing relationships across an established portfolio of self-service customers. You will identify new business opportunities, activate customers, and accelerate account expansion through strategic upselling, cross-selling, and solution-based selling. Working with a broad range of businesses and technical stakeholders, you will help customers maximize the value of innovative communications solutions across messaging, voice, and email services. You will own the full sales cycle for your accounts, from opportunity identification and pipeline management to deal negotiation and closure. In close collaboration with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Support teams, you will contribute to customer retention and long-term business growth. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional who thrives in a data-driven, fast-paced, and remote-first environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of self-service customers, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities to increase product adoption and account value.
  • Own an assigned book of business, focusing on revenue retention, customer expansion, and growth through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Drive new customer activations and manage transactional and solution-based sales opportunities, taking ownership of the sales cycle through successful deal closure.
  • Execute structured and scalable sales programs to achieve revenue, gross margin, and gross profit targets.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend relevant communications solutions across messaging, voice, and email services to maximize business value.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate sales pipeline and revenue forecast using Salesforce CRM, ensuring consistent reporting and proactive opportunity management.
  • Collaborate with management to review sales performance, assess business opportunities, and refine account development strategies.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Customer Support, and Professional Services teams to coordinate renewals, improve customer outcomes, and drive expansion revenue.
  • Implement automation strategies and scalable engagement approaches to manage a high volume of customer accounts while maintaining customer satisfaction and minimizing churn.
  • Partner with Marketing teams to align sales initiatives with campaigns, messaging, and customer engagement programs.
  • Use customer data, account insights, and performance metrics to identify growth opportunities, prioritize sales activities, and demonstrate the value of proposed solutions.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience closing sales opportunities, or 1+ year of closing experience within a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving strong sales performance, consistently meeting revenue targets, and delivering measurable gross profit results.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sales forecasts, financial models, and business performance metrics.
  • Strong account management and business development capabilities, with experience identifying opportunities and driving customer expansion.
  • Ability to engage effectively with both business decision-makers and highly technical stakeholders, building trusted relationships and influencing purchasing decisions.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage customer data, account insights, and performance indicators to develop targeted account strategies and demonstrate business value.
  • Entrepreneurial approach, with the initiative and adaptability to develop new processes, build scalable programs, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present solutions clearly, negotiate effectively, and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational and pipeline management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple opportunities and manage a high-volume customer portfolio.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven, and evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements, team meetings, and in-person collaboration.
  • Location eligibility: This position is remote within the United States but is not available to candidates residing in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Washington State, or Washington, D.C.

Benefits:

  • Additional commission-earning opportunities based on sales performance.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits.
  • 401(k) retirement savings program.
  • Paid sick leave and personal time off.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Generous time-off policies and wellness leave.
  • Remote-first working environment, offering flexibility and opportunities to collaborate with distributed teams.
