This remote, full-time opportunity is designed for an experienced financial leader who enjoys helping small business owners make better decisions through financial insight. You will support a portfolio of approximately 40 solo law firm owners, helping them understand their financial performance, strengthen profitability, and manage cash flow effectively. Working as part of a fractional executive team alongside CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and Controllers, you will provide practical financial guidance tailored to each client’s business. Through regular strategy sessions, financial analysis, and forecasting, you will turn complex numbers into clear recommendations. This role combines financial expertise, client coaching, and hands-on strategic advisory work.

• Lead monthly one-on-one financial strategy calls with a portfolio of approximately 40 clients.

• Analyze financial statements, key performance indicators (KPIs), profitability, and cash flow.

• Develop, maintain, and interpret financial dashboards to provide clients with clear visibility into business performance.

• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and identify potential financial risks.

• Translate financial findings into straightforward, actionable recommendations that support better business decisions.

• Coach clients on building stronger financial habits, improving accountability, and achieving their financial goals.

• Collaborate with other fractional executives, including CEOs, COOs, and Controllers, to provide coordinated business guidance.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced finance or accounting professional with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to business owners. You should bring:

• Experience as a Controller or in a senior-level accounting or finance position.

• Strong expertise in financial analysis, forecasting, KPI development, and financial dashboards.

• A proven track record of improving profitability, managing cash flow, or reducing operating expenses.

• Experience managing teams, working with clients, or maintaining professional business relationships.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial information in simple, practical terms.

• A hands-on, advisory approach and the ability to guide business owners toward better financial decisions.

• Small business or entrepreneurial experience, strongly preferred.

• Experience in professional services or law firms, considered an advantage.

• Availability for occasional evening work and business travel.

• Current residence in one of the following eligible states: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or West Virginia.

Benefits

• Full-time, fully remote position.

• Total annual compensation ranging from $110,000 to $145,000, including base pay, roster-based earnings, additional projects, and projected bonuses.

• Opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of small business owners.

• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary fractional executive team.
