The Junior Integration Engineer supports the integration, configuration, deployment, and sustainment of FENIX training solutions across domestic and foreign partner fielding sites. Working under the direction of the Integration Lead, this position helps incorporate new equipment, software releases, and interfaces into existing training-system suites while supporting reliable, low-risk fielding and operational availability.

The role emphasizes system interoperability, configuration management, issue resolution, and coordination across engineering, software development, logistics, and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support integration of hardware, software, computational equipment, and common interfaces into FENIX training-system configurations.
  • Assist with system setup, configuration, installation, and verification activities in lab, integration, and field environments.
  • Analyze system architectures, interfaces, dependencies, and version compatibility to identify integration impacts and support resolution of interoperability issues.
  • Coordinate with software development, systems engineering, logistics, and sustainment personnel to troubleshoot and remediate integration issues across development, integration, and production environments.
  • Maintain system configuration baselines, version records, release packages, and integration documentation in coordination with the Logistics & Sustainment Manager.
  • Support the on-site system repository for software releases, system updates, technical artifacts, and customer deliverables.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain integration setup guides, configuration records, deployment checklists, interface-control documentation, and integration status reports.
  • Participate in System Integration Laboratory (SIL) activities, system demonstrations, and readiness reviews.
  • Support the Change Control Board (CCB) by documenting integration impacts, tracking action items, and helping prioritize integration activities.
  • Assist with verification activities required to confirm integrated systems meet established configuration, interface, and operational requirements.
  • Record, track, and help coordinate resolution of system discrepancies identified during integration, demonstrations, fielding, or operational use.
  • Provide system fielding and customer support at CONUS and OCONUS locations.
  • Support IBST, JSE, and NAVAIR activities as required.
