Position Summary

The Inventory Supervisor leads the inventory control function within Operations. This role owns the accuracy, traceability, and condition of aircraft parts, engine, and APU inventory, from receipt of teardown material through cycle counting, stock checks, scrapping, and preservation monitoring. The Inventory Supervisor works alongside the Order Processing Supervisor, who runs daily shipping and receiving, to keep stock records accurate so orders ship on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Manifest Receiving (Teardown Material)

  • Supervise receipt and check-in of material coming out of aircraft, engine, and APU teardowns against the teardown manifest.
  • Verify part numbers, serial numbers, quantities, and condition; resolve discrepancies and escalate shortages, overages, or documentation gaps.
  • Ensure material is tagged, documented, and put away to the correct location in the system of record in a timely manner.
  • Maintain traceability and supporting documentation for all received material.

Cycle Counting and Stock Checks

  • Plan, schedule, and execute the cycle count program and routine stock checks.
  • Investigate variances, identify root causes, and drive corrective action and record adjustments per company procedure.
  • Track and report inventory accuracy metrics to Operations leadership.
  • Support periodic physical inventories and audits.

Scrapping

  • Manage the scrap process, including identifying, segregating, documenting, and approving material for scrap.
  • Ensure scrapped parts are mutilated or disposed of per procedure and records are updated promptly.
  • Maintain scrap records and support financial reconciliation and audits.

Engine and APU Preservation Monitoring

  • Oversee the preservation program for stored engines and APUs, including scheduled inspections, re-preservation, and condition checks.
  • Maintain preservation schedules and records; flag overdue or out-of-tolerance items to management.
  • Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Sales on asset condition and readiness.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, schedule, train, and coach inventory team members; set priorities and hold the team accountable to standards.
  • Conduct performance reviews, and support hiring and onboarding.
  • Promote a safe workplace and enforce safety, housekeeping, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Order Processing Supervisor to keep inventory availability and location data accurate for order fulfillment.

Recommend and implement process improvements for inventory accuracy and efficiency.
