Overview
JerseySTEM is looking for volunteers to support our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
Help us plan exciting field trips for students to explore science in the real world. You’ll reach out to companies, museums, and STEM spaces to set up visits.
Perfect for anyone who enjoys planning fun, educational experiences.
Your typical JerseySTEM week involves (illustrative): ~ 1 hour/day
- Daily: Check Email, Forward Email, Answer questions by Email for 15mn-30mn
- Monday: Meet with the Curriculum Team to discuss current venues/opportunities
- Tuesday: Research new venues, make a few phone calls to enquire about a venue
- Wednesday: Draft email to teacher/school administrator about an incoming fields trip for their students; make sure paperwork in place; permission slips,...
- Thursday: Draft a request for Quote from specific venues
- Friday: Have 1:1 call with the JerseySTEM Corporate Development team
No Travel or in-person required, unless interested.
