Dishwasher

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Dishwasher in the Dietary Department, you will help ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked dining environment for our residents and patients at Jasper General Hospital.

You will:

• Operate the dish machine correctly, including checking chemical levels, water temperature, and sanitizer concentration; record readings on the appropriate forms.
• Wash, clean, and sanitize all trays, glassware, plates, mugs, utensils, and related items after each meal.
• Empty and properly dispose of garbage throughout the day.
• Prepare beverages for the tray line and keep beverage coolers stocked.
• Deliver residents’ or patients’ trays to designated stations.
• Practice safe food handling and follow all food safety procedures.
• Maintain clean floors by mopping the dietary department daily and as needed; clean spills promptly and use wet floor signs as appropriate.
• Deliver supplies to stations as needed.
• Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
• Store all food and supplies correctly using FIFO (first in, first out).
• Label and date all foods prior to storage.
• Assist other Dietary Department team members as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
