You will build and develop a team of platform administrators, developers, and technical architects, and partner with the Senior Director of Enterprise Applications on long-term platform strategy while holding decision-making authority over execution, vendor relationships, and cross-domain escalations.

What you can expect to do in this role:

Owns the technical roadmap, governance model, and architecture for Service & Knowledge Management and Employee Experience platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Atlassian), reducing friction and modernizing how employees get work done

Directs platform delivery, including planning, prioritizing, and releasing new functionality and enhancements across managed systems

Leads platform governance and steering committees, aligning stakeholders across departments on priorities, changes, and roadmap decisions

Serves as the technical escalation point for critical service disruptions, resolving cross-domain, vendor, and competing stakeholder issues, and escalating to the Senior Director when an issue carries significant business or budget impact

Manages vendor relationships, licensing, contracts, and budget for managed domains, tracking utilization, forecasting spend, and communicating ROI to optimize cost and prevent SaaS sprawl

Partners with IT, Security, and business stakeholders to architect and govern integrations and automated workflows across platforms and workplace systems (e.g., IDP, HRIS, collaboration tooling, AI tooling), and advises departments on platform capabilities for new systems and major process changes

Leads evaluation and rollout of AI-powered platform capabilities (e.g., ServiceNow Now Assist, Atlassian Rovo, Microsoft Copilot), and uses AI tools to automate manual work and improve team efficiency

What we are looking for:

8+ years of experience delivering and managing enterprise applications and collaboration platforms in a complex, cross-functional IT environment (required)

5+ years of experience coordinating work across internal teams and external vendors, including managing SaaS budgets, contracts, and license negotiations with a focus on cost optimization and sprawl prevention (required)

3+ years in a formal people-management role, including hiring, performance management, and team development (required)

Deep platform architecture experience, with hands-on configuration and administration background, in ServiceNow (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ESM) or Atlassian (e.g., Jira Software, Jira Service Management, Confluence) (required)

Effective executive communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences (required)

Experience architecting and governing complex enterprise IT platforms across more than one vendor ecosystem, with the ability to anticipate how a change in one system affects others (preferred)

Experience building integrations and automated workflows between enterprise platforms using REST/SOAP APIs and identity providers (Okta/Azure AD) (preferred)

Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve your own work and your team's efficiency, and evaluating AI-enabled platform features (preferred)

Minimum Education Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred); relevant ServiceNow or Atlassian certification (preferred).
