Original job description

At Jacobs, we challenge what’s accepted so we can deliver transformative, resilient solutions for a more connected and sustainable world. If you’re looking for a long and rewarding career with the #1 most admired engineering and construction company, Jacobs is where you belong.

We are seeking a motivated Project Manager- Systems Implementation in the Wichita, KS area, to support internal PM/CM teams and external clients.

As a key contributor to the program support team, you will partner closely with engineering, design, and construction professionals to gain a comprehensive understanding of project delivery - from planning and design through procurement, construction, and project controls. You will support the development, documentation, and implementation of standardized project management and project controls processes, configure those processes within integrated project management systems, and develop training materials that promote consistent, high-quality project execution.

In this role, you will actively apply project controls best practices to enable effective cost and schedule management across large, multi-project programs. You will help align processes, systems, and resources to support best-in-class project delivery.

This role requires daily on-site attendance at the assigned project site.

At Jacobs, we’re invested in your success. You’ll have opportunities to strengthen your skills, contribute across a diverse portfolio of projects, and collaborate with experts across our global organization.

8+ years of experience in project management
Experience developing, reviewing, and analyzing Primavera P6 schedules
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing processes with cross-functional teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including engagement with executive leadership and clients
Experience implementing and working with project management and information management systems
Proven ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data to deliver strategic, actionable insights
Experience managing costs across large, multi-project programs
Experience developing program- and project-level reporting, including executive status reporting
Experience developing and applying formal change management processes
Strong analytical skills with a focus on performance improvement and continuous optimization
Ability to travel to project sites and client offices as needed

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have:

Experience building Power BI reports
Experience with Project Management systems, e.g., Unifier, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, etc.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new project management systems
Ability to work well within a team that may consist of client team members
Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations (visual, written, and verbal)
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to adapt to evolving project requirements in a fast-paced environment
