Whether you're passionate about renewable energy, power generation, grid modernization, or electrical distribution systems, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to projects that help communities and industries thrive.

As part of our team, you'll collaborate with experienced engineers and technical experts on challenging projects across North America and around the world. From supporting the transition to cleaner energy sources to improving the reliability and resiliency of critical infrastructure, your work will make a tangible impact from day one.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience while supporting a variety of power and energy projects, including:

  • Conducting condition assessments of existing electrical infrastructure and power systems.
  • Assisting with feasibility studies, master planning efforts, and technical evaluations for energy and power facilities.
  • Supporting the design and construction of power generation facilities, electrical distribution systems, and substations.
  • Preparing engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction document packages used to bid and build critical infrastructure projects.
  • Developing your power system analysis skills through modeling and simulation of electrical systems, including load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination studies.
  • Contributing to the design of grounding and lightning protection systems that enhance safety and reliability.
  • Assisting in the development of procurement specifications for a wide range of electrical equipment and materials.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams and participating in the delivery of innovative solutions that address complex client challenges.

At Jacobs, we believe early-career professionals learn best by doing. You'll work alongside industry leaders who are invested in your growth, providing mentorship, technical training, and opportunities to expand your expertise across the energy sector.

We're seeking candidates who are eager to learn, solve complex problems, and contribute innovative ideas in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about the future of energy, possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and is excited to apply their technical knowledge to real-world challenges. Success in this role requires effective written and verbal communication skills, strong technical writing abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Most importantly, we're looking for individuals who are curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow their careers while making a meaningful impact.
