Onshore Production Operator / Lease Operator Abbeville, LA | 10/4 Rotation | $30.00/Hour

Overview

Island Operating is seeking an experienced Production Operator / Lease Operator for onshore oil and gas operations in the Abbeville, LA area. This position is responsible for safely monitoring, operating, and maintaining production wells and equipment to ensure efficient and reliable daily operations. Candidates must reside within a 15-minute drive of Abbeville, LA.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate oil and gas production wells and associated equipment.
• Perform daily inspections, record production readings, and maintain accurate operational reports.
• Monitor pressures, fluid levels, and production performance.
• Inspect and troubleshoot separators, tanks, pumps, valves, and related production equipment.
• Identify and report equipment issues, leaks, and abnormal operating conditions.
• Assist with routine maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Follow JSAs, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of direct oil and gas production operations experience required.
• Experience with onshore production wells and equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of production monitoring, separation equipment, and safe operating procedures.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Strong safety mindset and commitment to Island's Living in the Z.O.N.E. philosophy.
• Must live within 15 minutes of Abbeville, LA.

Schedule

• Location: Abbeville, LA
• Rotation: 10 days on / 4 days off (10 hour days)
• Residency: Must live within a 15-minute drive of Abbeville
