Who We Are:
Ipsos is one of the world's largest research companies and currently the only one primarily managed by researchers, ranking as a #1 full-service research organization for four consecutive years. With over 75 different data-driven solutions, and presence in 90 markets, Ipsos brings together research, implementation, methodological, and subject-matter experts from around the world, combining thematic and technical experts to deliver top-quality research and insights. Simply speaking, we help the biggest companies solve some of their biggest problems, serving more than 5000 clients across the globe by providing research, data, and insights on their target markets.
About Customer Experience (CX):
Our Customer Experience service line specializes in all matters relating to measuring, managing and improving customer relationships and the overall customer experience. We help our clients manage the experiences they deliver in a way that maximizes the value of both customers and employees to their organization. The Senior Programmer Analyst is a key technical role within CX, sitting at the intersection of research consulting and technical operations. Working alongside a Technical Manager and Director, you'll help deliver end-to-end CX programs for some of our largest clients, building and maintaining the Qualtrics and Medallia platforms at the core of those programs. These are large-scale, high-impact engagements ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars, giving you meaningful exposure to major clients early in your career. What makes this role important at Ipsos?
- The Senior Programmer Analyst turns program requirements into working technology. You'll configure the surveys, dashboards, data feeds, and automations our clients rely on every day, and keep those systems running smoothly.
- You'll be an integral part of maintaining and growing long-term client relationships through high-quality execution, clear communication, and responsiveness.
What you can expect to be doing:
- Programming and maintaining online surveys and building dashboards and reporting within Qualtrics
- Writing and running SQL queries to support data processing, reporting, and program needs
- Setting up and managing API connections, data integrations, and automations
- Processing and loading client-supplied sample files with accuracy and attention to detail
- Reviewing specification documents, asking questions to make sure complex requirements are fully understood, and suggesting improvements for clarity and quality
- Executing against defined project plans, including more complex tasks, and meeting planned deadlines
- Testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within existing programs and system functions; escalating larger issues promptly and submitting support tickets as needed
- Taking ownership of ongoing platform maintenance tasks
- Supporting report development for QBRs and ad hoc analysis, pulling and preparing data with high quality
- Participating in client emails and calls, and potentially leading work streams in client meetings
- Explaining technical concepts clearly to non-technical clients and internal stakeholders
- Tracking hours carefully, understanding the scope of effort for tasks, and flagging issues proactively
This might be the job for you if you have:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 1–3 years of related experience in survey programming, platform configuration, IT, or a technical role within market research or CX
- Hands-on technical proficiency with Qualtrics, including survey programming and dashboard configuration, beyond research or reporting use
- A background in IT or programming, with comfort using technical language and working across systems
- Working knowledge of SQL, plus experience with or a strong interest in APIs, integrations, and automations
- Experience with Medallia is a plus
- Qualtrics and/or Medallia Product Certification (Level 1) is a plus, or the willingness to earn it
- A strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to recognize issues, propose solutions, and work with a technical lead to resolve them
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong time management, both independently and as part of a team
- A willingness to learn and apply new technologies and platform functionality If you don't meet 100% of the requirements, we encourage all who feel they might be a fit for the opportunity to apply. We may consider a variety of backgrounds for a particular role and are also committed to considering candidates for available positions throughout our organization, not just the one you're applying to! In accordance with NY/CO/CA/WA law, the estimated base salary range for this role is $73,000 to $78,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several non-discriminatory factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
