Schedule:

Full time

To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position will be responsible for the technical backbone of the Development department's data ecosystem. This role owns or oversees the internal super-user administration of our CRM, administration of the WeGive giving site/donor portal and marketing automation platform, and oversight of departmental data reporting and business solutions analysis.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Personal:

· Be a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world

Leadership partnership & reporting:

· Report directly to the Executive Director of Development Services, providing regular updates on CRM and WeGive system health, vendor issue status, data integrity risks, reporting priorities, and platform roadmap needs. · Serve as the Executive Director's primary technical partner for Development systems, translating system issues, vendor recommendations, and infrastructure-level decisions into clear operational implications and recommended next steps. · Maintain day-to-day ownership for technical triage, system administration, and recommended solutions while engaging the Executive Director for strategic decisions, vendor accountability, risk management, and prioritization of cross-departmental impacts. · Partner with the Executive Director to ensure Development Services technology priorities support department strategy, donor experience, staff effectiveness, and operational continuity. · Manage the Constituent Records Management team as well as the Business System analyst role

CRM system administration (super user):

· Serve as the department's primary internal super user for the CRM · Provide first-line troubleshooting for CRM issues raised by Development staff before escalating to the outsourced IT vendor · Work with the Executive Director of Development Services and the Business Solution Analyst to coordinate with the vendor on infrastructure-level changes, upgrades, and escalated issues, ensuring leadership visibility and alignment on system risks, priorities, vendor accountability, and decisions with cross-departmental impact · Escalate infrastructure outages, vendor delays, major integration failures, security or compliance concerns, upgrade risks, or other system impacts requiring Executive Director prioritization or executive-level vendor engagement · Test and validate vendor-pushed updates or patches before they go live for department users · Maintain documentation of CRM data mapping, workflows, and internal processes

WeGive platform administration:

· Oversee the administration (super user) of the WeGive checkout and donor portal, and marketing automation platform · Own the ongoing data integration between WeGive and the CRM, ensuring gift records, donor profile updates, and campaign/segment data flow accurately and reliably between systems · Troubleshoot sync failures and data discrepancies between platforms · Establish and enforce a clear "source of truth" standard for donor data across CRM and WeGive

Data hygiene, reporting & business solutions:

· Oversee the department's Data Reporting & Business Solutions Analyst, ensuring recurring reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data requests are delivered accurately and on time · Lead requirements-gathering and process mapping for new reporting requests, system changes, or workflow improvements across Development teams · Conduct limited-scope data analysis to support fundraising strategy · Partner with Prospect Development and Donor Relations to ensure data structures support their reporting and operational needs · Oversee the departments data management for development by managing the constituent records management team. Building out ongoing data management protocols, building in appends and audits.

Data governance & departmental standards:

· Oversee the maintenance of data quality standards, definitions, and governance practices across CRM and WeGive (e.g., duplicate handling, gift record standards, retention policies) · Support compliance and security practices for donor data, including access control and gift processing data handling, in coordination with organizational IT/security policy · Provide training and documentation to Development staff on system use and data standards

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

· Annually affirm InterVarsity’s Statement of Faith · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Data Management or Computer Science · 5+ years of experience administering a CRM or donor database in a nonprofit or fundraising context · Experience building or troubleshooting reports and dashboards from donor/constituent data · Experience managing data hygiene maintenance programs and performing appends and data audits. · Strong working knowledge of data integration concepts between platforms (imports/exports, sync logic, troubleshooting data discrepancies) · Excellent ability to translate between technical systems work and the practical needs of fundraising, donor relations, and gift processing staff · Experience managing vendor relationships or working closely with outsourced IT/technical partners

Preferred:

· Direct experience with Salesforce NPSP · Direct experience with a giving site/donor portal and/or marketing automation platform (WeGive or comparable) · Experience with business solutions analysis or requirements gathering for system/process changes · Supervisory or mentorship experience · Experience establishing data governance standards or documentation practices · Effective oral and written communication skills · Ability to handle confidential information · A working knowledge of current Microsoft Software applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) is preferred · Demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a diverse team environment
