Service & Repair Technician (Trailer Parts & Service) Location: 3333 W Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85017 Schedule: Full-Time, Tuesday - Saturday Common Tasks: Repair, Service and Sales Pay Range: $20-$21 an Hour + Commission About the Role Are you hands-on, mechanically inclined, and passionate about delivering top-tier customer service? We are looking for a dependable and driven Service & Repair Technician to join our team. In this multifaceted role, you will be the backbone of our Parts & Service department - handling everything from routine trailer maintenance, custom accessory installations, and inspections to inventory management and customer consultations. • Hands-on Service & Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, warranty work, and accessory installations on trailers and company equipment.
• Inspections & Quality Assurance: Complete thorough Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) and Post-Labor Inspections (PLI) to ensure every trailer meets safety and quality standards before hitting the road.
• Customer Support & Consultative Selling: Work directly with customers to assess their needs, recommending the right parts, accessories, and maintenance services.
• Inventory & Facility Operations: Receive inbound shipments of trailers and parts, manage yard and shop inventory, verify invoicing, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility.
• Equipment Operation: Safely operate shop power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and yard tractors (company certification provided).
• Team Collaboration: Assist store management with sales presentations, local market outreach, and routine store operations as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience & Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) and 6+ months to 1 year of related hands-on mechanical, maintenance, or repair experience.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable using hand/power tools, troubleshooting practical mechanical issues, and learning welding/rigging operations.
• Customer-First Mindset: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain repairs and recommend solutions clearly to customers.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Solid common sense, basic math/geometry skills (measurements, proportions), and the ability to follow technical diagrams and manuals.
• Tech-Savvy: Basic computer literacy for logging work orders, processing parts, and completing digital reports.
• Licensing Requirements: Valid driver’s license; must be willing/eligible to obtain a state-required sales license where applicable.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, and maneuver 50–75 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working with your hands throughout the day.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic shop and outdoor yard environment, subject to varying weather conditions (heat, rain, cold).
