CNC Machinist – Programming & Setup

Location: Bellefonte, PA Schedule: First Shift – Monday-Friday

About the Opportunity InterAction24 is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for an opportunity with an established precision manufacturing company in Bellefonte, PA.

We are looking for a skilled machinist with hands-on experience in CNC programming, machine setups, and operating CNC mills and lathes.

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced machinist, become familiar with specialized equipment and manufacturing processes, and transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC milling and turning equipment.
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and offset adjustments.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications.
• Make programming and machining adjustments to ensure accurate production.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain consistent production quality.
• Inspect finished components for dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Work with precision-machined components, including cylindrical parts.
• Support specialized machining processes, including grinding and core drilling.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous professional experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Programmer, or CNC Setup Technician.
• Hands-on CNC programming experience required.
• Ability to independently perform CNC machine setups required.
• Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Knowledge of tooling, offsets, machining processes, and precision measurements.
• Ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot machining issues.
• Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Experience with Haas, Mazak, or other CNC equipment.
• Experience with both CNC milling and turning.
• ID/OD grinding or core drilling experience.
• Precision machining of cylindrical components.
• Experience machining ceramic materials, including PZT.

Experience with specific CNC machine brands or ceramic materials is not required. Candidates with strong CNC programming and setup experience from other manufacturing industries are encouraged to apply.
