Backend Software Engineer (Infra Engineer) - Palo Alto, CA (On-site) Job Overview We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to help us redefine customer interactions and loyalty through AI. In this role, you will develop and enhance the backend systems that power our cutting-edge AI platform, which delivers real-time, personalized customer engagement, faster problem-solving, and proactive support to drive long-term business growth. You will design and implement scalable, efficient infrastructure to support our AI agents, ensuring they deliver VIP-level service in every customer interaction. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable backend services that power AI-driven customer engagement solutions.
• Implement and integrate AI models, including LLM technologies, to deliver personalized and seamless customer interactions.
• Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability to support real-time AI-driven workflows.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales and product managers, to innovate and refine AI-powered solutions.
• Stay updated on emerging AI and backend technologies to propose and implement innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong experience designing and building scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs.
• Proficient in cloud services and API development; experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is preferred.
• Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, or AI model integration is a plus but not required. Familiarity with open-source LLM frameworks is a plus, and experience in modern AI voice agent systems is a strong plus.
• Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and Go, with an emphasis on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Passionate about leveraging technology to drive business innovation and improve customer experiences.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous and rapidly evolving environments, with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
