CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist - Cleveland, OH - JOB 26-00795 Pay Range: $20.00 - $31.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits 2nd Shift 2:30pm -- 1:00am (M-Th) or 3 rd Shift 7pm -- 5:30am (M-Th) Seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist for a manufacture in Cleveland, Ohio. Responsibilities • Set up and run CNC mills to mill, drill, bore, ream, and tap precision parts according to technical drawings and engineering specifications. • Download part programs from network servers; edit G-code at the control as needed. Pre-set and load tooling into carousels, set work reference points, and adjust work/tool offsets. • Dry run programs on controls and execute live first-piece runs. Touch off tooling and indicate fixtures into position. • Run first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, height gauges, and surface plates. • Identify and resolve routine machining, tool-wear, and setup discrepancies; disposition non-conforming materials • Perform deburring, secondary machining steps, and standard daily preventive maintenance checks on equipment. • Follow strict OSHA machine safety guidelines, and complete production documentation accurately. Requirements • High school diploma or GED equivalent; vocational or technical machining certifications preferred. • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on CNC milling setup and operation experience • Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T symbols, and job routings. • Edit CNC programs (G-code/M-code) directly at the machine control. • Use precision inspection instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges). • Math Skills including decimal-to-fraction conversions, basic shop trigonometry, and geometry. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
