Job Description
A customer of Insight Global is looking to onboard a Loss time adjuster to their team. When an employee has an injury in a workplace, a claim is filed. The loss time adjuster takes ownership of this claim and investigates what happened. They determine which benefits should be paid and they follow the claim until it reaches the best possible resolution.
Day to Day
- Investigate new and existing claims
- Handle mostly indemnity claims & some medical claims
- Call injured workers or employers
- Review medical information
- Pay benefits as appropriate
- Pay lost wages
- May involve dealing with lawyers
- Address litigation or settlement issues
- Prepare claim summaries
- Lots of phone work/customer service
