Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Workday Finance Engineer to join its Workday Finance Application Management team. This individual will provide Tier 3 application management, configuration, and production support for Workday Finance, with a primary focus on Financial Accounting, Business Assets, Capital Projects, Planning, and related financial reporting processes. This role sits at the intersection of finance, business operations, and technology. The ideal candidate will have direct experience configuring Workday Finance and a broad understanding of how financial processes operate across an organization. They should be able to understand a business problem, translate it into Workday requirements and configuration, and support the solution through analysis, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. This is not an accounting, controller, or Workday integrations position. The strongest candidate will bring hands-on ERP and SaaS experience, an understanding of financial controls and business rules, and the technical ability to configure conditions, logic statements, workflows, and related functionality within Workday. The engineer will collaborate with finance business owners, Tier 2 support teams, other Tier 3 resources, and Workday reporting and integrations teams. They will troubleshoot complex production issues, assess Workday releases, implement configuration changes, develop test scripts, and ensure that changes account for dependent reports, integrations, security requirements, and business processes.
