VDC Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

-2+ years of VDC/BIM experience, on the GC side; data center experience is highly valued. -Experience managing and coordinating models, leading coordination meetings, resolving trade conflicts, and supporting BIM-to-field activities. -BIM Coordinator experience is acceptable if responsibilities align with the role. -Education is flexible: associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, -Interior Design, Engineering, or related field. -Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Synchro, SketchUp, or similar BIM/VDC tools. -Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Bluebeam. -Valid driver’s license. -Must be able to work on-site five days per week in El Mirage, AZ.

Job Description

The VDC Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating project models rather than primarily building them. They will serve as the main VDC liaison between design, engineering, specialty trades, and field operations, leading coordination meetings and ensuring models are aligned before construction begins. Day to day, they will manage models, identify and help resolve coordination conflicts, work directly with trade BIM teams and field leadership, and support BIM-to-field activities such as installation validation and deviation detection. This position is typically on-site five days a week and will work closely with the Project Superintendent and broader field team. The incoming VDC Engineer will also receive transition support from the experienced contract coordinator currently covering the work.
