Test Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems
• Experience testing components such as heat exchangers, pumps, fans, and/or accumulators
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer test requirements
• Experience working with test rigs, laboratory equipment, and hardware validation
• Previous aerospace, defense, or space systems experience
• Experience with Solumina
• Willingness to work second shift (2-10)

Job Description

The Test Engineer will provide hands-on technical support for the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of Space Systems hardware while working on second shift. This person will develop, implement, and maintain test processes while ensuring hardware meets customer, engineering, quality, and safety requirements. They will perform laboratory testing on complex mechanical systems and components such as heat exchangers, pumps, fans, and accumulators. The engineer will use advanced instrumentation and data acquisition systems to collect test data, diagnose issues, and verify equipment performance, with LabVIEW experience preferred. They will also develop and maintain test procedures, define test rig and facility requirements, review engineering drawings, and support tooling development. The role requires someone who can work independently while communicating closely with Program, Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure hardware and testing deliverables are completed successfully.
