Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience as an Owner's Representative, Tenant Construction Representative, Construction Manager, or similar role Experience supporting data center construction projects or mission-critical facilities Knowledge of white-space infrastructure including busway systems, RPPs, and rack installations Experience coordinating across contractors, design teams, and project stakeholders Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on-site regularly during active construction phases

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data center environments Familiarity with network turn-up, commissioning, or handoff processes Experience managing tenant improvement (TI) or fit-out projects Understanding of critical power and mission-critical infrastructure environments

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Tenant Construction Representative to support a leading data center organization in Chennai, India. This individual will serve as the on-site representative for tenant interests throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring tenant requirements are incorporated and executed alongside base building construction activities.

This role will act as the primary liaison between the tenant, general contractor, design teams, and other project stakeholders to drive successful delivery of white-space and tenant-specific infrastructure. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in active construction environments, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and ensuring all tenant requirements are met prior to turnover.

Responsibilities include:

Representing tenant requirements throughout the project lifecycle, from design review through fit-out completion Coordinating tenant-specific scopes including white-space fit-out, busway systems, RPPs (Remote Power Panels), and rack infrastructure Partnering closely with general contractors, construction teams, and design consultants to ensure alignment on deliverables Tracking punch list items and driving issue resolution through project completion and turnover Serving as the primary on-site point of contact for construction-related tenant inquiries Supporting the transition from base building delivery into white-space fit-out and network turn-up activities Monitoring project progress and escalating risks, schedule impacts, or quality concerns as needed
