Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Tenant Construction Representative to support a leading data center organization in Wise, Virginia. This is a highly accelerated tenant fit-out project with a heavy mechanical/MEP scope, rather than a traditional ground-up building construction role.

The project team is working to accomplish approximately six months of construction activity within roughly two months, making schedule management, field coordination, and rapid issue resolution critical to success.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience overseeing mechanical and MEP construction, specifically involving chillers, air handlers, and mission-critical infrastructure. This individual will serve as an on-site construction representative, coordinating closely with contractors, design teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to keep the project moving toward turnover.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as an on-site construction representative throughout an aggressive data center tenant fit-out project Oversee and coordinate MEP construction activities with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems Monitor installation and project progress involving chillers, air handlers, and supporting mechanical infrastructure Coordinate tenant-specific scopes including white-space fit-out, busway systems, RPPs, rack infrastructure, and related MEP systems Partner closely with general contractors, subcontractors, design teams, and project stakeholders to maintain schedule and quality Identify field issues, schedule risks, coordination conflicts, and quality concerns and drive them toward resolution Track punch-list and closeout activities through project completion and turnover Support the transition from active construction through commissioning, turnover, and white-space readiness Maintain strong communication across stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment Provide flexibility for project needs outside standard hours when required, while maintaining a standard 40-hour on-site workweek
