Job Description

Overview: Insight Global is seeking a Staff Accountant II to join a large enterprise finance team. This individual will play a critical role in the month-end close process, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, possesses exceptional analytical skills, and is highly proficient in Excel, as approximately 85% of the role will involve financial analysis, reconciliations, and reporting. This position will also support the Senior Accountant throughout the close process and assist with audit and quarterly reporting activities.

Responsibilities:

Assist with month-end close activities within a highly compressed 6-business-day close cycle Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting schedules Guide and support Staff Accountants throughout the close process and ensure deadlines are met Analyze financial data, research variances, and resolve accounting discrepancies Utilize advanced Excel skills to reconcile and analyze large data sets Work within legacy systems and support manual accounting processes to ensure reporting accuracy Assist with quarterly reporting and internal/external audit requests Support ad hoc accounting projects and process improvement initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
