Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of accounting experience
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and NetSuite
- 3+ years of experience with Bank of America CashPro or comparable treasury platform
- Journal entry preparation and posting
- Month-end close experience
- Strong understanding of debits and credits
- Strong general ledger accounting experience
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Experience reconciling daily transactions and investigating discrepancies
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, transaction-heavy environment
- Comfortable with daily cash/account activity and working across accounting systems
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Prepare and post journal entries to ensure transactions are recorded accurately
- Perform daily bank and account reconciliations
- Research and resolve discrepancies between bank activity and accounting records
- Assist with bank transfers and monitor daily cash transactions
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity
- Support month-end close and ensure accounts are complete and reconciled
- Pull and compare reporting across multiple accounting and banking systems
- Work with Microsoft Dynamics GP and other accounting platforms
- Support the organization's transition toward NetSuite
- Maintain accuracy across a high volume of cash and transaction activity
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Staff Accountant for a top financial services/investment client in Las Vegas. This candidate will support a transaction-heavy accounting environment with an emphasis on cash activity, journal entries, general ledger accounting, bank reconciliations, transfers, and month-end close. The ideal candidate brings 3-5+ years of hands-on accounting experience and is comfortable researching discrepancies and managing a high volume of daily transactions across multiple systems. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, Business Central, CashPro, or NetSuite is highly valuable, particularly as the organization progresses toward NetSuite.
