Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
· Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
· Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.
· Experience with multi-state sales/use tax
· Telecommunications tax experience strongly preferred.
· Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems.
· Strong Excel skills.
· Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
· Ability to independently manage multiple deadlines.
Job Description
The Accounting/Tax Compliance Manager is responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the Company's accounting records, monthly financial close, financial reporting, accounting policies and internal controls, as well as the Company's federal, state and local tax compliance activities.
This position serves as the Company's primary accounting and tax compliance resource and works closely with the VP of Finance, CEO, external CPA/tax advisors, auditors and other professional advisors.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience with multi-state tax compliance, excellent attention to detail and the ability to operate effectively in a growing, multi-state telecommunications environment.
