Job Description
A large software and gaming company is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join its Information Security team. This individual will help design, customize, and enhance critical security tooling used to protect the organization's infrastructure, systems, and users.
This is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role requiring someone who enjoys digging beneath the surface of security platforms, building custom solutions, and solving complex security challenges. The ideal candidate thrives in an environment with significant autonomy, shifting priorities, and opportunities to identify and drive security improvements independently.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions across endpoint, SIEM, and security monitoring platforms.
- Customize and tune security tools to meet business and security requirements, including detections, alerting, integrations, policies, and automation workflows.
- Investigate complex technical issues and develop scalable solutions to improve security visibility and response capabilities.
- Build and maintain scripts, automations, and integrations that enhance operational efficiency.
- Partner with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to identify and remediate security risks.
- Evaluate security platform capabilities and implement custom configurations beyond out-of-the-box functionality.
- Document engineering solutions, security processes, and technical findings.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve security controls, monitoring, and operational effectiveness.
