Job Description

A major client of Insight Global is seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to help modernize a large-scale enterprise integration environment and migrate legacy workloads to AWS-native solutions.

This individual will own integration work end-to-end, including solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, migration, and eventual decommissioning of legacy technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience building AWS integration solutions using Lambda, S3, and event-driven services, combined with enterprise MFT/EFT and secure file-transfer experience. This is primarily a modernization engineering role rather than a legacy support position. Approximately 75% of the initial focus will be migration/replatforming work, with roughly **25% focused on supporting existing integration platforms while they are being replaced.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, test, deploy, and support enterprise integration solutions in AWS. Develop AWS-native integrations using AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, REST APIs, and related services. Build and support event-driven and serverless integration architectures. Support enterprise MFT/EFT environments, including FTP/SFTP-based integrations. Own integration solutions through the complete lifecycle from initial design through production deployment. Partner with architecture and application teams to migrate legacy integrations into AWS. Support migration of existing IBM MQ, ARCUS, and on-premises file-transfer workloads. Help maintain existing legacy infrastructure while replacement solutions are designed and implemented. Troubleshoot production integration failures, message backlogs, connectivity issues, file-transfer failures, and performance problems. Perform root-cause analysis and implement long-term preventative solutions. Participate in legacy and mainframe decommissioning initiatives. Automate integration and operational processes using Python and infrastructure-as-code technologies. Collaborate across engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and application teams. Provide knowledge sharing and technical guidance throughout modernization initiatives.
