Sr. Claims Adjuster - General Liability

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of Claims Adjusting experience, with senior-level exposure preferred.
• Strong litigation experience handling developed claims, not fast-track claims.
• Experience managing General Liability claims.
• Strong Bodily Injury claims experience.
• Experience handling a mix of runoff claims and inventory.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Active adjuster licenses, with NY and California licenses highly preferred.
• Strong investigation, negotiation, and settlement skills.

Understanding of attorney-represented claims and litigated files.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:

• Prior Gallagher Bassett experience.
• Additional reciprocal adjuster licenses beyond standard requirements.
• Experience supporting restaurant and retail clients.
• Experience managing complex litigated GL and BI claims.

Previous TPA experience.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of litigated General Liability claims.
• Handle Bodily Injury and some Property Damage claims.
• Review and analyze claim documentation, coverage, liability, and damages.
• Work directly with defense counsel and attorney-represented claimants.
• Develop settlement strategies and negotiate claim resolutions.
• Manage runoff claims and existing claim inventory.
• Maintain accurate claim documentation and diary management.
• Collaborate with managers and branch leadership on claim strategy.
• Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with client and regulatory requirements. Provide timely updates and recommendations on reserve and settlement authority.
