Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional C#/.NET development experience
• 3-5 years of hands-on Azure development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with: ○ Azure Functions ○ Azure Service Bus, including queues, topics, and subscriptions ○ Azure API Management (APIM)
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying RESTful APIs
• Experience with serverless development and event-driven architectures Experience building secure APIs, including authentication, authorization, and token-based security

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Azure Developer Contractor to support Farm Bureau's Enterprise Integration Services team. This individual will focus on designing, developing, and enhancing Azure-native integration solutions using Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Management, and C#/.NET. This person will work closely with architects and product owners to understand the existing architecture, contribute to technical solution design, and build secure, scalable, and reliable Azure components. The ideal candidate will be able to step into a fast-paced environment and contribute quickly with minimal ramp-up time.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Azure-native integration solutions
• Build and manage Azure Functions, including HTTP-triggered and queue-triggered functions
• Implement and support Azure Service Bus messaging using queues, topics, and subscriptions
• Configure and enhance Azure API Management (APIM) instances and APIs
• Develop reusable C#/.NET components using modern engineering practices
• Partner with architects and product owners to define technical designs and API specifications
• Ensure APIs follow consistent RESTful standards, versioning, security, and error-handling practices
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing Azure components and integrations
• Contribute to best practices around Azure development, DevOps, and API lifecycle management
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams We are able to pay between $47 - 49 dollars an hour.
