Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Digital Site Lead / Autodesk Software Architect to support the architecture and development of digital solutions for large-scale data center design and construction projects.
This individual will define how Autodesk platforms, APIs, cloud services, data systems, and custom applications work together across the data center project lifecycle. The primary focus will be architecting API-driven solutions using Autodesk Platform Services APIs, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and BIM data, while establishing the broader software architecture and development standards required to build scalable, maintainable solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong Autodesk ecosystem knowledge with a software engineering and architecture background. This person will assess complex design, construction, and VDC requirements and translate them into secure, scalable technical solutions. They will provide architectural direction and hands-on technical leadership throughout the development and implementation process.
This role will partner closely with software engineers, VDC teams, BIM professionals, designers, construction stakeholders, and data teams. The architect will help modernize data center delivery by replacing disconnected scripts and manual processes with standardized applications, reusable services, and API-driven integrations.
Pay dependent on years of experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the software and integration architecture supporting data center design, construction, BIM, and VDC workflows. Design API-first integrations using Autodesk Platform Services and other Autodesk APIs. Define how Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, BIM data, cloud platforms, data systems, and internal applications should integrate. Translate data center design, engineering, construction, and operational requirements into scalable technical architectures. Establish software development standards, integration patterns, reusable frameworks, and technical documentation. Architect solutions that automate the creation, extraction, validation, analysis, and delivery of data across the data center project lifecycle. Evaluate existing Dynamo, Python, and Revit automations and determine when workflows should be converted into scalable applications or services. Provide technical direction to software developers throughout architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Make architectural decisions related to APIs, data modeling, system integrations, security, performance, reliability, and scalability. Develop proofs of concept and provide hands-on technical leadership for high-priority Autodesk integrations. Partner with engineering teams to conduct technical design reviews and ensure solutions align with the established architecture. Create architecture diagrams, API documentation, data-flow models, and technical implementation plans. Identify opportunities to create reusable services and capabilities that can support multiple data center projects, sites, and delivery teams. Architect data pipelines and integrations involving Autodesk, BIM, construction, and project delivery data. Help define the long-term technical roadmap for Autodesk-based applications, integrations, and digital delivery capabilities within a data center environment.
Pay range falls from $80-$89/hr
