ServiceNow QA Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software QA/testing experience
• 2 years of hands-on ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework) experience
• 2 years of experience building, maintaining, and executing automated test suites and reusable test steps in ServiceNow ATF
• Experience running pre- and post-upgrade regression cycles to validate forms, workflows, Flow Designer flows, and UI changes
• Experience setting up test impersonations and validating user access across ServiceNow roles.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Tosca or open-source automation tools (Selenium/Playwright).
• ServiceNow ATF micro-certifications
• CI/CD pipeline experience for automated test schedules and triggers.

Job Description

This position is for our large Saas client. We are looking for a detail-oriented ServiceNow QA & Automation Engineer to oversee end-to-end quality assurance governance, design robust test strategies, and manage the execution of comprehensive test suites across our enterprise platform ecosystem. In this role, you will champion established testing methodologies, manage release cycles, and implement structured quality gates to ensure platform stability and prevent regressions during major upgrades and patch cycles. Utilizing automated frameworks and native platform tools, you will drive defect management pipelines, lead stakeholder validations, and accelerate our delivery velocity across ITSM, CSM, SPM, and other modules. You will oversee quality assurance for their ServiceNow platform ecosystem. You'll design test strategies and build and maintain automated test suites in ServiceNow's native ATF module. You'll run pre- and post-upgrade regression cycles to validate forms, workflows, Flow Designers, and UI changes. You'll create automated tests for REST/SOAP integrations and web services, and you'll validate user access across ServiceNow roles. You'll analyze test logs, document defects, and work with developers to resolve bugs. You'll lead UAT sessions with stakeholders, present test coverage and metrics to project squads, and support CI/CD-driven test schedules across ITSM, CSM, SPM, and other modules. The role manages release cycles and quality gates to keep the platform stable during major upgrades and patch cycles.

• Build & Maintain ATF Tests: Design, develop, and execute automated test suites and reusable test steps using ServiceNow’s native ATF module.
• Regression & Upgrade Testing: Run pre- and post-upgrade ATF test cycles to validate platform stability, form validations, workflows, Flow Designers, and UI changes.
• API & Integration Testing: Create and execute automated tests for REST/SOAP integrations, web services, and scripted service-side logic.
• Defect Management & Reporting: Analyze test execution logs, capture failure screenshots, document issues, and collaborate with developers to resolve bugs.
• Role & Access Validation: Set up test impersonations and validate user access permissions across different ServiceNow roles.
• CI/CD Integration: Support automated testing schedules and pipeline triggers to ensure continuous quality assurance in sub-production and production instances.
