Required Skills & Experience

5-6 years of hands-on ServiceNow development and production support experience, primarily with ITSM, CSM, and CMDB Strong CMDB experience, including quality/governance, discovery/integration patterns, reconciliation, identification rules, relationships, and health remediation Strong JavaScript and ServiceNow server-side/client-side scripting skills Experience with Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, ACLs, catalog tools, imports, reports, and dashboards Experience building integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, web services, and directory services Experience with workflows/automation, Service Catalog, notifications, SLAs, reporting, and portal or workspace experiences Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across applications, data, integrations, scopes, and environments Agile/Scrum, testing, code review, controlled release, and documentation experience Ability to independently deliver secure, supportable solutions while favoring out-of-box configuration over unnecessary customization

ServiceNow IRM/GRC experience Federal client, FedRAMP-aligned environment, or sensitive federal data experience Prior Public Trust suitability or clearance ServiceNow CAD and/or CSA certification Specialist certifications in ITSM, CSM, CMDB/CSDM, Discovery, or IRM Experience improving inherited ServiceNow implementations, reducing technical debt, and documenting configurations/integrations

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a ServiceNow Developer for a top research and professional services client. This candidate will be a hands-on developer responsible for building and supporting production-ready ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, CSM, and CMDB. The role will own work throughout the full development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, configuration, development, integrations, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and production support. The ideal candidate brings strong JavaScript and ServiceNow development expertise, solid CMDB experience, and the ability to independently solve complex platform issues while delivering secure, maintainable solutions in a federal environment.
