Senior Utilities Estimator

Job Description

Day-to-day:

Our client is seeking a Senior Estimator with deep experience in utility infrastructure projects. This individual will manage the estimating process from initial opportunity identification through final bid submission while supporting utility, transmission, and civil infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Review plans and specifications for transmission projects Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed project estimates Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing Prepare competitive bid packages and proposals Identify and pursue new bidding opportunities Work with customers, vendors, and internal project teams throughout the bid process Develop estimates for utility relocation, transmission, and related infrastructure projects Utilize estimating tools to prepare accurate pricing

Skills and Requirements

HS Diploma 10+ years of estimating experience Experience estimating transmission projects Experience supporting utility clients such as FPL, Duke, NextEra, or similar utility organizations

Strong knowledge of:

Transmission systems Utility relocations Foundations Civil clearing and access environmental access Heavy excel modeling skills Blue beam, and Procore Experience identifying and pursuing new project opportunities
