Senior Systems Programmer/Analyst

Required Skills & Experience

o Two (2) years of industry experience or 6 years of industry experience in lieu of degree o Experience assisting other programmers o Strong problem solving skills o Demonstrated pattern of growth in ability to lead others o Planning and organizational skills o Demonstrated record of good communication skills o Increasingly responsible experience with technical skills in a large, complex corporate Information System o Advanced knowledge of mainframe, minicomputer, microcomputer, networking and telecommunications strategies, environments, equipment, operating systems, development tools and methodologies.

Job Description

o Installs, tests, debugs, customizes and tunes more complex operating system and utility packages. o Develops, prioritizes and executes projects according to established schedules and timeframes. o Follows and enforces technical and documentation standards o Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and techniques in supporting other systems and application programmers in projects and complex problem solving efforts. o Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. o Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff. o Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
