Job Description
A global law firm with nearly 1,400 lawyers and more than 3,000 employees across 19 offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia is looking for a Senior Collaboration Technology Engineer to join its growing Collaboration Technology team. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential to convert to a permanent position and requires a hybrid schedule of approximately eight days per month near one of the firm's office locations.
The Collaboration Technology team supports Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft Exchange/email, and Microsoft Teams. This role will primarily focus on Power Platform and SharePoint development and project work, while also providing day-to-day support across Exchange/email and Teams.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Approximately 80% of the role will focus on Power Platform and SharePoint project work, including:
Designing and developing workflows from scratch using Power Apps and Power Automate. Maintaining and enhancing existing Power Platform solutions while supporting new projects in the pipeline. Receiving requirements from the BA team and working directly with business stakeholders when additional clarification is needed. Translating business requirements into accurate technical requirements and scalable solutions. Building workflows involving approvals, notifications, document routing, and data intake. Integrating solutions with SharePoint, Teams, Outlook/Exchange, OneDrive, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 services. Troubleshooting, optimizing, and refactoring existing Power Platform solutions. Providing guidance on Power Platform capabilities, limitations, and development best practices. Documenting solutions and completing organized handoffs to internal teams following deployment. Maintaining clear visibility into project status, deliverables, action items, dependencies, and risks. The ideal candidate is not simply a strong Power Platform developer. The team needs someone who can own a project end-to-end, understand what the business is asking for, translate those needs accurately into technical requirements, and communicate progress clearly throughout the process.
The right candidate will be proactive, organized, responsive, and comfortable working directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong communication and visibility are particularly important. The manager expects consistent updates on deliverables and action items rather than having to follow up for project status.
Approximately 20% of the role will involve supporting Microsoft Exchange/email and Teams, including daily support activities and collaboration technology needs.
Compensation:
$50/hr to $60/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
