Senior Network Field Technician

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of enterprise network installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Arista and Cisco network equipment and CLI configuration
• Experience with Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, and Wi-Fi
• Strong experience with structured copper and fiber cabling, termination, testing, and troubleshooting
• Ability to serve as an escalation point for complex network issues and lead technical projects
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, CCTV/access control, wireless technologies, and network testing equipment preferred
• Strong customer service, documentation, and ticket management skills
• Ability to lift/move network equipment up to approximately 55 lbs and travel between ASU locations
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be available for rotating shifts, nights/weekends, and on-call support as needed
• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, Network+, or Security+ are preferred

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Field Technician to support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple higher education locations. This is a hands-on field role responsible for installing, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting wired/wireless networks, switches, routers, firewalls, fiber and copper cabling, wireless access points, and related security infrastructure.
