Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, integration, and hardware development
• Experience using Siemens NX or comparable CAD software
• Strong GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering drawing release experience
• Experience taking hardware from concept through fabrication, assembly, and integration
• Knowledge of aerospace fabrication methods including machining, sheet metal, welded assemblies, and prototype builds
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret/Top Secret Security Clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience with spacecraft, launch, reentry, hypersonic, or other high-performance aerospace systems
• Hardware-rich prototype development experience with rapid design iteration
• Tooling, fixture, or support equipment design experience
• Experience using hand calculations and/or FEA for design validation Startup or small-team engineering experience
