Senior Front End Engineer - SEO

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years' experience with front end development using React, Next.js, TypeScript & Module Federation. Proven technical SEO experience with sustained production ownership, not just an isolated SEO ticket or metadata implementation. Strong communication skills. Solid understanding of how search engines discover, crawl, render, and index JavaScript-heavy websites. Experience with SSR, SSG, ISR, hydration, and SEO considerations in microfrontend architectures. Hands-on knowledge of canonical tags, robots directives, XML sitemaps, redirects, structured data, hreflang, and duplicate-content management. Ability to diagnose and improve Core Web Vitals, page performance, crawlability, and indexing. Experience using Google Search Console, Screaming Frog/Sitebulb, Chrome DevTools, and Lighthouse. Ample examples of where someone has personally implemented SEO improvements and outcomes.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working on large-scale ecommerce or content-heavy platforms. Experience with GraphQL. Experience with Python.

Job Description

We're hiring for a Senior Front End Engineer with heavy SEO experience to support a top of the line retail technology organization. The ideal candidate will be based in either the Greater Seattle Area or Greater Vancouver, BC area and be available to come onsite as needed. Your SEO knowledge and expertise will be used to help our client's content be at the forefront of web searches and help them to get to an ever globalized scale. You will be working alongside a global team and thus, will need to have excellent communication skills to help drive communication between stakeholders.
