Senior E&I Designer

Required Skills & Experience

• 15+ years of E&I-specific design experience
• Extensive experience within industrial or large-scale construction environments
• Required hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Bluebeam
• Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation design deliverables
• Proven experience supporting projects from initial design through construction and field execution
• Ability to work independently on complex E&I projects
• Strong communication and coordination skills across engineering, design, and field teams

Job Description

One of our customers is seeking a Senior E&I Designer to support complex electrical and instrumentation projects within industrial and large-scale construction environments. This individual will independently develop and review E&I design packages and work closely with engineering and construction teams throughout the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently develop detailed E&I drawings, design packages, and project documentation
• Create and modify designs using AutoCAD and Plant 3D
• Utilize Bluebeam for drawing reviews, markups, and project coordination
• Develop electrical and instrumentation layouts, schematics, and other E&I deliverables
• Support projects throughout design, field verification, construction, and execution
• Coordinate with electrical, instrumentation, engineering, construction, and other design disciplines
• Conduct or support field walkdowns to verify existing conditions
• Identify potential design, constructability, and field execution issues
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers
• Manage design responsibilities across multiple industrial projects and priorities
• Ensure drawings and deliverables meet project standards, specifications, and schedules
