Senior Conveyor Controls Engineer

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of Conveyor Controls Engineering experience in manufacturing environments o Conveyor experience (conveyor design and commissioning the set up of conveyors)  Any time of conveyor (power and free, COE conveyors are a plus) o Ability to review designs and provide technical guidance throughout project execution o GCCS1, GCCH1 STRONGLY preferred o Experience supporting projects from design through commissioning
• Strong conveyor controls systems experience (design, implementation, troubleshooting, commissioning) o Experience supporting vendors, OEMs, and integrators during design, installation, and startup o Controls design experience including wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, controls drawings, and network architecture
• AC motors, VFDs, and PowerFlex 755 STRONGLY preferred

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Allen Bradley / Rockwell experience (ControlLogix, Studio 5000, Ethernet/IP)
• Panasonic or battery manufacturing experience
• DeviceNet experience
• Siemens HMI experience
• Experience working alongside a Resident Controls Engineer
• Automotive manufacturing experience

Job Description

(Will turn into 80% commissioning and install, 10% documentation, 10% managing vendor in beginning of 2027)

40% Vendor Technical Support

• Serve as a technical resource for conveyor and controls vendors
• Answer design, installation, and startup questions
• Clarify GM standards and requirements 30% Controls Design Review
• Review controls packages and electrical drawings
• Review wiring diagrams and network layouts
• Ensure compliance with GM standards 20% Installation & Commissioning Support Support conveyor controls installation
• Assist with startup and commissioning activities
• Troubleshoot controls and drive-related issues 10% Documentation & Coordination
• Manage controls documentation
• Track design revisions and changes
• Partner with the Resident Controls Engineer to drive project completion
