Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join an enterprise cloud infrastructure team supporting both Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure environments. This role is ideal for a well-rounded cloud engineer who enjoys being hands-on with infrastructure, security, cloud modernization, and emerging technologies. The team is continuing to migrate workloads from on-prem VMware environments into the cloud, introduce new cloud services, strengthen its security posture, and explore newer technologies, including AI. GCP is the biggest priority for this hire, but candidates must also have strong Azure experience. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, configure, support, and optimize enterprise infrastructure across GCP and Azure
  • Support ongoing on-prem/VMware-to-cloud migration initiatives
  • Maintain highly available, reliable, and secure cloud environments supporting mission-critical systems
  • Help introduce and implement new cloud services and technologies across the organization
  • Monitor cloud environments for security vulnerabilities, risks, and configuration issues
  • Use cloud security tooling to analyze environments and assist with vulnerability and risk remediation
  • Support infrastructure containing sensitive PII and PHI data
  • Utilize Terraform to support cloud infrastructure and automation efforts
  • Support the underlying cloud infrastructure for security analytics, data analytics, and other enterprise services
  • Partner with dedicated security, networking, identity, interface, and data/analytics teams
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, connectivity, performance, security, and configuration issues across cloud environments
  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and make recommendations around architecture, security, performance, and scalability
  • Assist with cloud governance, standards, documentation, and best practices
  • Help optimize cloud performance, utilization, reliability, and cost
  • Gain exposure to emerging technology initiatives, including the organization's exploration and adoption of AI capabilities
