Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst / Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical data teams. This person will lead the requirements and business analysis side of reporting and analytics initiatives, translating business needs into well-defined KPIs, dashboards, reporting requirements, and scalable data solutions.

This is not a hands-on BI Developer position. The ideal candidate should be technically proficient enough to understand Power BI, basic SQL, data lakes, data warehouses, data models, and enterprise data flows, but their primary responsibility will be understanding the business, defining requirements, and partnering with technical teams to deliver the right solution.

A strong understanding of supply chain, distribution, logistics, inventory, procurement, or category management is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, including Data Engineering, Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Enterprise Applications, and BI Development. Lead requirements gathering and translate business needs into BRDs, user stories, process flows, business rules, KPIs, and reporting requirements. Own reporting and analytics initiatives from initial intake and requirements through design, UAT, deployment, and business adoption. Work with business leaders to define and validate KPIs, metrics, dashboards, scorecards, and executive reporting requirements. Review existing Power BI dashboards and reports and help determine opportunities for enhancement, consolidation, standardization, or automation. Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights. Partner with technical teams to understand source systems, data models, data warehouses, data lakes, data dependencies, and end-to-end data flows. Write and review basic SQL queries to validate data, business logic, calculations, and reporting accuracy. Define and validate data quality, integrity, completeness, and source-system requirements. Develop UAT plans and test scenarios, coordinate business testing, manage defects, and obtain stakeholder sign-off. Identify opportunities to improve and standardize reporting processes and business workflows. Drive adoption of analytics capabilities and promote data-driven decision-making across the organization. Manage multiple initiatives and stakeholder priorities within a fast-paced digital transformation environment.
