Security Installation Technician

Job Description

• 1+ year of hands-on experience in security, low-voltage, electrical, or construction
• 1+ year of experience using basic hand/power tools, including drills and ladders
• Experience pulling wire and/or working with electrical/security equipment
• Basic computer skills, including email and Excel
• Reliable personal vehicle for travel throughout Northwest Arkansas
• Must provide own 6-ft ladder, hand tools, and drills

Skills and Requirements

• Previous security installation experience
• Experience installing or bending conduit
• Experience with access control devices, door readers, panels, or similar low-voltage systems
• Basic networking/configuration knowledge Insight Global is looking for a Security Installation Technician to support Johnson Controls projects throughout Northwest Arkansas, primarily in the Bentonville, Rogers, and Fayetteville areas. This person will support smaller Walmart Home projects and will work alongside experienced technicians while continuing to develop their security installation skills. The technician will initially spend significant time pulling wire and assisting with security installations, including panels, door readers, and other devices. They may also assist with bending/installing conduit and other hands-on installation work. This is a good opportunity for someone with an electrical, low-voltage, security, or hands-on construction background who has solid mechanical aptitude and wants to grow further into security systems. This is not a general labor position. Candidates should already be comfortable using basic tools and working from ladders, but Johnson Controls is open to training someone who does not yet have extensive security experience.
